No hair on the head, but all the more on the rest of the body. A liberation from capitalism, whichis geared towards profiting from female socialised bodies. The interdisciplinary project deals with the topic of hair from an intersectional perspective. As Black women in Germany, our bodies are subject to constant judgement where our hair plays a defining role, as it is usually the marker of a Black identity. The action of shaving off the hair of three Black women is portrayed as an act of liberation from capitalist structures, ideals of beauty and stigmatisation associated with hair on Black and female bodies.
